Case goods and upholstery resource Emerald Home Furnishings has informed customers that it is planning to join the Holland House family of brands that includes Davis Direct, Step One, Folio 21 and Crush.
The letter to dealers said, “The deal broadens the furniture portfolio for the combined brands and strengthens our collective position for customers both geographically and through new product categories.”
Specifically, the letter noted, “Emerald brings established warehouse and e-commerce experience, making it a perfect fit with the growing Holland House family of brands with national and regional retailers.”
The company said that Dean Banks has joined the company as general manager. He comes to Emerald from case goods resource A-America Inc., where he was senior vice president of sales, marketing and merchandising. Banks worked at A-America for more than 13 years. The letter said Banks replaces Emerald President and CEO David Beckmann who will be leaving the company once the acquisition of Emerald Home Furnishings is finalized.
“We thank you for your continued support as the Emerald brand grows,” the letter concluded. “With this new structure of combined businesses, you can expect our offerings to expand while still enjoying the quality and value that helps you drive your business.”
Ownership at both Holland House and Emerald declined to comment on the planned acquisition.
